Welcome from the Co-Headteachers; Mrs Marie Harral and Mrs Becky Morley

We have worked together at Sawley Infant & Nursery School to help children 'Sparkle and Shine' for many years and are both delighted to introduce our wonderful school.  We feel proud and privileged to have supported so many amazing children, families and staff over the years, growing, changing, and learning all the time!  Thank you for taking an interest in our school.

At Sawley Infant and Nursery School, we are committed to enriching children’s early years and helping them to Sparkle and Shine !  They are the bright stars of our future and we wish to give them the very best start in life. Which is why they are at the centre of all that we do. We believe in creating a positive learning environment that is inclusive and supportive for all and aim to nurture each child’s emotional and academic development to inspire a life-long love of learning.

Everyone involved in your child’s education here works together to create a happy, caring and successful school. We aim to ensure that your child has the best possible start to their school life within a safe, secure and stimulating environment. 

Great staff and governors, a supportive parental community, and the most wonderful children all work in partnership together.

We aim to give you a taste of our school, as well as provide up-to-date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.  We hope that you find the information useful.  Please remember that we have an ‘open door’ policy; parents and carers are welcome in school at the start of the day and by arrangement at other times.  Feel free to phone, e-mail, or pop in to school if you find that you need more information. 

We can provide printed copies of any information that you require from the website on request - please ask at the school office. We will also endeavour to provide information in other formats as required  Please contact us to discuss your needs. 

Our Classes:

We have 2 or 3 classes per year group from Reception up to Year 2 with many committed and hard-working staff providing the best for pupils (see the who's who page for more information).

Our classes are named after gemstones to fit with our school ethos of Sparkle and Shine!

Induction

Welcome to Sawley Infant and Nursery School. We are very pleased to be able to welcome families back on-site for tours and induction visits now - but these past videos may give you a glimpse of what our school is like.  Please feel free to watch one of our previous induction videos or virtual tours for a flavour of our school.
