Summer 6

We will start the term learning about how to measure capacity and length, applying our knowledge of number and number patterns to read scales.  We look forward to applying these skills in our ‘Enchanted Woodland’ topic, as we measure the length, height and weight of plants, trees, sticks and other natural materials. We will revisit addition and subtraction to recap the core skills. applying our understanding of place value to add and subtract two digit numbers and developing our problem solving and reasoning skills practically. We will also recap multiplication and division this term, ensuring that we are secure with the operations and understand how they can be reversed to solve missing number problems.  Finally will be recapping how to tell the time to the o’clock and half past times and applying it within a real life context. We will also use stopwatches to record time, setting ourselves timed challenges.
