Curriculum

We love learning at Sawley Infant & Nursery School !

Please follow the links below to find out all about our curriculum.

We offer a curriculum which is broad and balanced and which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, emotional and physical development of our pupils, and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

The KS1 National Curriculum and EYFS Framework provides an outline of core knowledge for each subject or area of learning around which we develop exciting and stimulating activities to promote the development of knowledge, understanding and skills.

Our curriculum lead is Mrs Harral. Please feel free to pop in with questions about our curriculum, or use the contact form below.

Our curriculum complies with the Equality act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Regulations 2014. We aim to make our curriculum offer available for all through careful and considered adaptations.  We continually strive to increase participation for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities . Our school accessibility plan sets out how we enable and support all pupils to participate in our school curriculum.

Please note, parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from all or part of Religious Education (RE) and we are happy to discuss the content covered and approaches to support families in decision-making.
